    Awesome…Sound The Trumpet loud!

  2. Victor D Ramsey II says:

    If we are to follow God’s commands such as:
    “… you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you” (1 Cor. 5:11-13);
    “Test everything. Hold on to the good” (1 Thess. 5:21);
    “Hate what is evil; cling to what is good” (Rom. 12:9) and
    “…watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them” (Rom. 16:17),
    then the question isn’t “Should we judge?” but “What do we judge?”

    I think you are right on point sis someone needs to hold ppl accountable as Paul did.

    Here is my question….

    Is it OK to assume that because Bishop Long was accused that he IS guilty? Is it OK to assume he is guilty because he has nothing to admit to? Is it OK to assume he is guilty because he settled? The high horse that everyone is on is amazing to me. I hope none of you are ever accessed. Where is God in this?

    I am not in a postion to judge anyone, forgiveness is the key to this situation. God’s word says it’s a season for all kinds of things. What’s done in the dark always is revealed eventually and brought to the light. These things that are going on are just cycles repeating themselves in time just different people but the same mess. We need to strenghten our own relationship with God because none of us are ready if the Lord decides to come today. A spiritual revival needs to start with us. We need to pray for those in error and judge not cause God blesses us all with his grace and mercy. God created the earth, us & Lucifer. We fight not against flesh and blood, but principality’s and powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand.

    Just wanted to say, “Thank you!” — Glad you have the courage to speak up for the victims. I spent some time thinking about this today. I love God and am so thankful for Christ and study the Bible but don’t consider myself “churchy” — not into the politics at all! Yet, am thankful to be attending an awesome ministry where leadership lives what it teaches.

    After watching the ENTIRE sermon from Dr. Dollar — I thought much was good teaching; however, the end made me very uncomfortable — very. Almost like the Holy Spirit had “left the building” — in my view Dr. Dollar seemed to be expressing his opinion about his friend (as he refers to him). My heart broke for anyone who looked to him for great teaching and was seeking a good Word church when he told them, “I don’t want you in my church, go back to where you came from.”

    Absolutely incredible! I am a single mother with a beautiful son. If my son was victimized and our faith in God had not been shaken after him being sexually abused by someone we trusted, after experiencing a verbal kick and slap in the face like that by Dr. Dollar — I would’ve been brought to tears. I would’ve been in serious prayer and questioning whether or not we would be in a church — again!

    Can you image the young men who could’ve been in attendance, broken, traumatized and still seeking to renew their mind, heal their spirits and seek the comfort and love of Christ! Oh my God. .

    While I appreciate the seemingly “shift” in the church to let people know that Christianity is not about being perfect and that because of Christ’s ultimate sacrifice we can have a direct connection with God and receive forgiveness because Jesus died on the cross; I often see and hear Ministers speaking very casually and downright callously when it comes to incomprehensible actions committed by people with trite phrases like, “get over it”, “move on”, “let it go!”

    Yes, if you repent you can be forgiven. However, I rarely hear about the other side of the coin — the victims. I don’t hear enough teaching about the real, human, natural impact of their actions on others. I don’t hear enough teaching about how one should heal and recover after being victimized — we spend to spend more time on the victimizers.

    How dare one person tell a woman whose spouse cheated and gave her an incurable disease to “get over it” and the man “don’t worry brotha God forgave you and don’t look back” — that is ridiculous, insensitive and callous! How dare a person, despite your position tell a boy with no father who was molested by a minister or any person for that matter to “let it go” — while telling the perpetrator simply “you are forgiven, don’t look back!” And, let’s not forget, “Young man, I know you came to my church for healing but I don’t want you here — go back to where you came from — back to the person who victimized you and work it out.”

    I thought Dr. Dollars “sermon wrap up” was quite interesting. He shares a touching example of love displayed by his wife when she overheard two of their employees talking about her negatively — she choose to act as if she never heard the women talking and treat those same employees in love. Yet, he was furious at the employees and put on a little dance about how he was “ready to go in” (my words – not his) on the employees after he saw the tear in his wife’s eye. Now. . . I wonder how he would feel if his daughter came to tell him that another man put his penis in her — would he say, “honey, let it go – get over it — that man has been forgiven by God and let it go” — by his re-enacted fury over seeing a tear in his wife’s eye — I think not! {I am graphic in this example, because what victims of abuse, adultery and molestation experience is not simply a “wreck” — it is graphic, painful and often has generational impact and consequences.}

    My point, let’s balance the teaching and walk in love. After the human destruction — more focus ought to be placed on rebuilding those harmed not solely exclusively and simply forgiving the destroyers.

    Just in case you didn’t get a chance to see the entire sermon, here it is: http://bit.ly/itd6Om

    Is it OK to assume that the boys are lying? Is it OK to assume that the boys made this all up? Is it OK to assume that all the boys wanted out of this was money? Once again EVERYBODY is all about backing or not wanting to touch the accused, while the accusers are left out and called “devils trying to attack the man of God” or “liars”. Furthermore, I’m amazed at the high horse everyone is taking and not even addressing the accusers and making light of their accusation!

  10. Lynette says:

    Forgivness can’t be the key to the situation here because there is no admission of guilt. Where there is not admission of guilt there is not need or place for forgivness. You and many people are asking to forgive or the assumption…and that’s not scriptural at all. We are as Christians to ask for forgivness of sins to God and confess our faults to each other….then has not been done (the latter) so how can what do we have to forgive. I like April’s prospective, it is scriptural and biblical, and godly…without assumption! Let’s stay with God and let His Spirit move here and have His way!!

  11. Marie says:

    Just one thing to say is I personally heard Bishop Long state that he did not do what he was being accused of and he would fight the allegations.

  12. Minister Chandra Roberson says:

  13. Mona says:

    If I wa accused and I was not guilty I would fight with tooth and nails to prove my innocence. I have this issue with a family member and knowing the truth. I don’t want no one to bow dow to me but how can I forgive you without you admitting the truth?

  14. Mona says:

    That’s what the courts are for.

  15. Mona says:

    Creflo Dollar has abused his pulpit by speaking on this in such a nonchalant manner as just to say go back..I mean did God really send that message? HMMMM…..These people are hurting becasue they Trust this Pastor and not God the Father. Where is the compasion and the love for the members that are paying this $25 Million settlement?

    Nice review! This is truly the type of post that should be shared around the internet. Sad on the Bing for not positioning this blog post higher!

  17. Cleo says:

    is it RIGHT to call the young men ALL LIARs just because they AREN’T well known. They are victims. Why won’t this man tell the truth. NO MATTER what it is. Call the truth, the truth. it will never become a lie. This is a shame. I am not perfect, nor am I judging him. He has NOT acknowledged this one way or the other. If you ARE NOT guilty, why on earth would you settle this legal cause as a secret behind closed doors, and pay money for it. It is the only way he was able to SETTLE(MENT). HIGH HORSE. Give me a break, this man did something to cause they young men to tell it. It is my opinion that they waited to LONG to tell it. Where was God when LONG was touching these boys? I’ll tell you where!. GOD was there, but had to turn his back on it. God can NOT look upon SIN. and You should know that.
